Who Knew?

I have a little known fact to share with you this Monday morning.
If someone accidentally drops a jar of Benefiber into the fishbowl,
The fish does not die.
Please do not ask me how I know this.
I just do.

The Weekend

Hollis had her gal pals over to visit on Sat.
This picture is FUNNY on so many Levels.
We had the first nice Spring Day this weekend. Everyone was out walking or riding bikes and waving to one another.
Like bears coming out of their caves after long winter naps.
Hollis and I went for a bike ride too. Jason played security and just walked along.
She had me bike around with one of her teddy bears in the babyseat of my bike.
Sorry, there are No pictures of that.Nor will there ever be.

It's been a really nice relaxing weekend. Library, church, games of Old Maid, yardwork, visiting with neighbors...
Hope your weekend was just as relaxing and easy.
PS Hollis just infomed me that when I take pictures of her, she can't concentrate on her riding. Hmmmm..

Mary Poppins goes to the Childrens Museum

Hollis thought I looked like Mary Poppins today.
I bet she has called me that 10 times- at least. I let her take a picture of me.
Maybe she was just excited because I had on makeup and earrings??
We went to the Childrens Museum today. It has been so long since we've been there.
Just the two of us together.  I miss those days a lot.
We went to see the Barbie Exhibit.
Boy, did that bring back memories

See this really fun Egyptian Parade with all the happy children?
My child would have NONE OF THAT
I begged. I pleaded. I bribed.
I wondered how weird it would look if a certain 35 year old Mama took a drum and starting marching with them.
Without her child.
but I refrained myself.
Aren't you glad?

Observation

When I went to Walmart today, I saw a really old man wearing a hat that said
"GRUMPY OLD FART." That made me laugh. OUT LOUD.
( BUT I did avoid him in the Tuna Fish aisle)

Then I thought-
Wouldn't that be nice if we could if we could all wear hats declaring our true emotions/personalities?
Mine would've said this today..
"Just knocked out of the running for Mom of the Year."
or
"BE Nice to me, my 4 year old had a Grand Mal TANTRUM today"

But then I thought more about it and decided this would be PERFECT.
"WAIT! GOD AIN'T FINISHED WITH ME YET."

Yes. That's much better.

Mama Said There'd be Days Like This.

Doesn't it just throw you for a loop when you think your day is going to go one way,
And it goes another.
That's the way it was at 6524 Abby Lane this morning.
Pizza party and pajamas were on the agenda for Hollis' school day today.
It's letter "P" week, you know.
One would think a 4 year old would be really really excited about it. And she was...until I told her that she couldn't wear her stained SHORT SLEEVED princess t-shirt to school.
It got really really UGLY.  REALLY REALLY.
I yelled. She cried. Jason looked confused. Wrigley hid under the bed.

Please do your best to ignore the swollen red eyes and fake smile in this picture.

I feel bad. I never even got a chance to warn her teachers.

The Boys

Hollis and I were in Hog Heaven this morning. She was able to spend some time with her main man.
And I got to spend time with mine.
Not only is he cute and cuddly but he laughs and asks for more when I sing.
 I know, he's keeper.
I love him to the moon and back.
Leslie, thanks for sharing them with us today.

The Twipper

Hollis has her parent/teacher conference coming up this week. I asked her if there was anything I might need to know before I get there.
Bad sign when she knits the eyebrows and the fingers go into the mouth.
"I twipped Wheel." (I tripped Will-for all you Non-Hollis speakers).
"What?? What did you do??"
"I twipped Wheel."
All I could think of was the class roster and my home phone and cell phone numbers are both on these.
"Hollis, you know better then that."
"I said I'm saw-ree lots of times."
"Did you ask for forgiveness?"
"Yes."
"I'm a good twipper Mama."
Now that just does a Mama's heart proud.
"He told me I wasn't eating my Oreos the right way. It was ridiculous."

A girl has got to stand for something. It might as well be Oreos.
