The Twipper

Hollis has her parent/teacher conference coming up this week. I asked her if there was anything I might need to know before I get there.
Bad sign when she knits the eyebrows and the fingers go into the mouth.
"I twipped Wheel." (I tripped Will-for all you Non-Hollis speakers).
"What?? What did you do??"
"I twipped Wheel."
All I could think of was the class roster and my home phone and cell phone numbers are both on these.
"Hollis, you know better then that."
"I said I'm saw-ree lots of times."
"Did you ask for forgiveness?"
"Yes."
"I'm a good twipper Mama."
Now that just does a Mama's heart proud.
"He told me I wasn't eating my Oreos the right way. It was ridiculous."

A girl has got to stand for something. It might as well be Oreos.

New Rule

Sorry about the last blog post.
Things are looking so much brighter now.
We have a playdate planned with some great friends.
The sun is shining through my window.
And my new stove ROCKS.
I am so BLESSED.

We have a new rule at the LePage House.
NO.PICKING.YOUR.NOSE.OR.YOU.CANNOT.GO.TO.THE.DOLLAR.STORE.
Yes, Hollis will remind you of that if you're caught pickin' in our house.
Sue, I put this song on there just for you.I know it makes your heart happy..
Happy Friday!

Blah Blah Blah

These pictures make me happy. Which is really good because I am suffering from a severe case of vacation hangover.
Maybe it is the weather.
Maybe it is the fact that 2 of my kitchen appliances have decided they no longer want to work.
Maybe it is the fact that I am now on a first name basis with the friendly Lowes appliance salesman(his name is Courtney and he lived in Palm Beach for 10 years and decided to move back home. He went to the Superbowl. Yes, I saw pictures.Tell him you know me. You might just get a discount).
Maybe it is because of the dreaded Dr.s appt I had today.

I told Hollis this week that I am in a bad mood. She says,"You're right Mama. You are in a bad mood." Now, that's what I call EMPATHY.
I think this MOM-ZILLA needs a little catnap...just wake me when SPRING gets here.

Just another day in paradise..

We sent Hollis out to get the newspaper on Thursday morning. She came running back in the house screaming,There's a dead bunny in the driveway!I'm scared!"
Whatchu talking bout Willis??
Umm. She was right. But it wasn't a baby bunny. It was a BIG Daddy bunny.
Jason says "I'm gonna let you handle this. You're better with animals."
Wow. He must have me confused with someone who works at a Pet Cemetery.
"Ok," he says,"I'll help. Just don't let it touch my hand."
Big, Bad and Brave.
He held the bag and I shoveled the rabbit.Poor thing.
After much discussion, it was decided that the rabbit would RIP in the woods at the end of our street. And I most certainly got the "Most sketchy person in the neighborhood award" for body dump that day. The kids at the bus stop will be talking about that for a long time.

Jan. 18

I hate this day of the year. Since we aren't supposed to say hate in our house, I'll say stinky instead. Today is a stinky day. Jason went back to work today.

This is where we were on Jan. 19th.It was my favorite day of vacation. When I get to heaven, this what I want it to look like. Picnics, a delightfuly warm secluded beach and my two very favorite people.
Thanks, Joe, for taking us on vacation. It was just Lovely. We love you.

Home again, home again jiggity jig

Yes. We are home. You may not recognize us though. We are much chunkier and completely flat out broke. But man, was it fun.
